Image-Javier running

From his first appearance in Trade, Javier has performed the Fire Dance. This, along with the Deer Dance, always draws large crowds.

In full regalia (left) Javier moves around the circle seemingly light as a feather. The regalia he wears weighs approximately 30-40 pounds.

Before each dance, (above, left to right) drummer Roger Cetina, dancer Miguel Angel Marroquin, Javier and flutist Arturo Hernandez performed music from a space in time dating back into dream time.

Javier always cautions the children never to try this. He explains that it is very dangerous and only a few in the world have the ability to do this.
